About Gokyo Lakes

The Gokyo Lakes are a series of six stunning turquoise glacial lakes situated at an altitude of 4,700-5,000m in the Sagarmatha National Park. The trek to Gokyo offers breathtaking views of four 8,000m peaks including Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu from the summit of Gokyo Ri (5,357m). Less crowded than the classic Everest Base Camp trek, this route follows the Dudh Koshi valley through Sherpa villages, offering an equally spectacular Himalayan experience with the added beauty of pristine glacial lakes.
