About Jomsom

Jomsom is the district headquarters of Mustang and a key stop on the Annapurna Circuit and the gateway to Upper Mustang. Located on the banks of the Kali Gandaki River between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, this windswept town at 2,720m is known for its dramatic landscape where the lush green hills of the Annapurna region transition into the arid, Tibetan-like terrain of Mustang. The Kali Gandaki gorge nearby is considered the deepest gorge in the world.
