About Tsum Valley
Tsum Valley is a sacred hidden Himalayan valley in northern Gorkha district that was only opened to trekkers in 2008. Often called the 'Valley of Happiness,' Tsum is a culturally Tibetan enclave where the ancient Buddhist traditions, language, and way of life have been preserved for centuries. The U-shaped glacial valley is surrounded by the Ganesh Himal, Sringi Himal, and Boudha Himal ranges. Ancient monasteries, meditation caves, mani walls (prayer stone walls stretching for kilometers), and friendly Tsumba people make this one of Nepal's most unique trekking experiences.
