About Manakamana Temple
Manakamana Temple is one of Nepal's most visited Hindu temples, dedicated to the goddess Bhagwati, an incarnation of Parvati. Perched on a ridge in the Gorkha district, the temple is believed to fulfill wishes of devotees who make the pilgrimage. Since 1998, a cable car connects the base at Kurintar to the hilltop temple, making it one of Nepal's most accessible pilgrimage sites and offering spectacular views of the Trisuli River valley and Himalayan peaks.
