About Parsa National Park
Parsa National Park, adjoining Chitwan National Park, is one of the largest protected areas in the Terai region. Covering 627 sq km of subtropical forest and grassland, Parsa is home to Nepal's largest resident population of wild elephants along with Bengal tigers, sloth bears, leopards, and over 500 bird species. The park's relatively undeveloped tourism infrastructure means fewer visitors and a more raw wilderness experience. The Parsa valley offers excellent jungle walks and jeep safaris.
