About Pathibhara Temple
Pathibhara Devi Temple is one of Nepal's most important Hindu pilgrimage sites, perched dramatically at 3,794m on a ridge in the Taplejung district of eastern Nepal. Dedicated to Goddess Pathibhara (a form of Shakti), the temple attracts hundreds of thousands of devotees annually who believe the goddess grants wishes. From the temple, trekkers are rewarded with extraordinary panoramic views of Kanchenjunga, Makalu, and the eastern Himalayan peaks. The hike to the temple passes through beautiful rhododendron forests.
