Momo Recipe
Chili momo - fried dumplings tossed in spicy chili sauce
Ingredients
- For Momos:
- - Use any momo recipe
- For Chili Sauce:
- - 2 tablespoons oil
- - 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- - 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- - 1 cup onion, sliced
- - 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
- - 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- - 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- - 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- - 1 teaspoon vinegar
- - 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- - Salt and pepper to taste
- - Green onions for garnish
Instructions

1Prepare and steam momos. Let them cool slightly.

2Deep fry or pan fry the steamed momos until crispy on outside.

3For sauce: Heat oil in a wok. Add garlic and ginger, stir for 30 seconds.

4Add onions and bell peppers, stir-fry on high heat for 2 minutes.

5Add soy sauce, chili sauce, ketchup, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper.

6Toss in the fried momos and coat well with sauce.

7Garnish with green onions. Serve immediately while crispy.
