Chicken Satay
Appetizer Recipe
Grilled chicken skewers with Nepali spice blend
Ingredients
- - 1 lb chicken breast, cut into strips
- - 1/2 cup yogurt
- - 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- - 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- - 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- - 1 teaspoon chili powder
- - 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- - Salt and pepper
- - Bamboo skewers, soaked
- - Melted butter for basting
Instructions

1Mix yogurt with ginger-garlic paste, spices, lemon juice, salt and pepper to make marinade.

2Marinate chicken strips for at least 2 hours or overnight in refrigerator.

3Thread chicken onto soaked bamboo skewers.

4Grill or broil, turning frequently and basting with melted butter, until cooked through.

5Serve with peanut sauce or mint chutney.
