Pan-fried dumplings - crispy on bottom, soft on top

Ingredients

  • - Use any momo recipe for dough and filling
  • - 3 tablespoons oil for pan-frying
  • - 1/4 cup water for steaming

Instructions

    Prepare momos using your preferred filling recipe.

    Heat oil in a flat non-stick pan over medium heat.

    Place momos in the pan, flat side down, leaving space between each.

    Fry until bottoms are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.

    Add water to the pan and immediately cover with a lid.

    Steam for 8-10 minutes until tops are cooked through.

    Remove lid and let any remaining water evaporate.

    Serve crispy side up with tomato achar.
