Rice flour sweet bread - traditional breakfast treat

Ingredients

  • - 2 cups rice flour
  • - 1/2 cup sugar
  • - 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • - 1/4 cup ghee, melted
  • - 1/2 cup milk
  • - 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • - Pinch of salt
  • - Oil for frying

Instructions

    Mix rice flour, sugar, coconut, cardamom and salt.

    Add melted ghee and mix well.

    Add milk gradually to form a soft dough.

    Divide into small portions and shape into flat round discs.

    Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

    Fry puwa until golden brown on both sides.

    Drain on paper towels.
