Nepali style grilled meat skewers - popular street food
Ingredients
- - 2 lbs meat (lamb, chicken, or pork), cubed
- - Bamboo skewers, soaked
- Marinade:
- - 1/2 cup yogurt
- - 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- - 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- - 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- - 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- - 1 teaspoon chili powder
- - 1/2 teaspoon timur
- - 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- - 2 tablespoons mustard oil
- - Salt and pepper
Instructions

1Mix all marinade ingredients into a paste.

2Coat meat cubes thoroughly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

3Thread marinated meat onto soaked bamboo skewers.

4Grill over charcoal, turning frequently, until charred on outside and cooked through.

5Serve with chiura (beaten rice), tomato achar, and fresh onion rings.
