Traditional Nepali ring-shaped rice bread - crispy and slightly sweet

Ingredients

  • - 4 cups rice flour
  • - 1 cup sugar
  • - 1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter), melted
  • - 1 cup milk
  • - 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • - 1/4 teaspoon clove powder
  • - Oil for deep frying
  • - Water as needed

Instructions

    Mix rice flour with sugar in a large bowl.

    Add melted ghee, milk, cardamom, and clove powder.

    Gradually add water while mixing to form a thick, pourable batter (thicker than pancake batter).

    Let the batter rest for 30 minutes.

    Heat oil in a deep pan to medium-high heat.

    Take batter in your hand and let it pour in a circular motion into the oil, forming a ring shape.
