Sweet hung yogurt dessert with nuts and spices
Ingredients
- - 2 cups thick yogurt (Greek yogurt works well)
- - 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- - 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- - Pinch of saffron
- - 2 tablespoons almonds, chopped
- - 2 tablespoons pistachios, chopped
- - 1 tablespoon raisins
- - 1 tablespoon dried coconut (optional)
Instructions

1If using regular yogurt, hang it in a muslin cloth for 3-4 hours to drain excess water.

2Soak saffron in 1 tablespoon warm milk.

3Beat hung yogurt until smooth and creamy.

4Add powdered sugar, cardamom and saffron milk. Mix well.

5Fold in half the nuts and raisins.

6Transfer to a serving bowl.

7Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

8Garnish with remaining nuts and coconut before serving.

9Traditionally served during festivals and special occasions.
