About Kalinchowk

Kalinchowk is a popular hill station and pilgrimage site in the Dolakha district, famous for the Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple perched at 3,842m. During winter, the hilltop transforms into a snow-covered wonderland, making it one of the closest places to Kathmandu to experience snowfall. A cable car now runs from Kuri Village to near the temple, making it accessible year-round. The panoramic views of the Himalayan range from Langtang to Everest are breathtaking, and the area offers excellent short trekking and camping opportunities.
