Cottage cheese filled dumplings with aromatic spices

Ingredients

  • Dough for wrappers:
  • - 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • - 1 tablespoon oil
  • - 3/4 cup water
  • - Pinch of salt
  • Filling:
  • - 400g paneer, crumbled
  • - 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • - 1/2 cup green pepper, finely chopped
  • - 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • - 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • - 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • - 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • - 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • - 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • - 2 green chilies, minced
  • - Salt and Pepper
  • - 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

    Saute onion, peppers, garlic and ginger in oil. Add spices and cook for a minute. Mix with crumbled paneer and cilantro. Season with salt and pepper. Let cool.

    Make dough, rest, roll out wrappers. Fill with paneer mixture, pleat closed.

    Steam for 10-12 minutes. Serve with mint chutney or tomato achar.
